The Wright Brothers… Indiana’s Band
Whatever genre the Wright Brothers are visiting, it’s bound to be marked by this versatile group’s signatures sounds: rich intertwining harmonies backed by virtuoso instrumentals.
Tom Wright, a true master of ceremonies, entertaining the crowd with his sly humor and velvety baritone. Tim Wright with a voice as nimble as his fingers, picking a seemingly endless succession of stringed instruments: banjo, acoustic and electric guitar, and pedal steel. And the third “brother,” John McDowell, whose bass guitar is the perfect counterpoint to his clear, soaring tenor. The band easily expands to add Keith Claghorn on keyboard, lead guitarist Mike Shepard, and drummer Bryan Chrisman.
The boys move seamlessly from rock to a 1940s pop standard to a Beatles classic to a George Jones country favorite or bluegrass number.

Tim Wright’s New Book
The Valley Boys: The Story of the 1958 Springs Valley Black Hawks
In the summer of 1957, the Indiana towns of French Lick and West Baden decided to consolidate two schools that had been the greatest of rivals for decades. It was a decision that did not go over well.
In a gripping story, W. Timothy Wright leads others into the events that occurred after the school merger that included the creation of a high school basketball team that caused tension between many citizens.
But as an extraordinary first season slowly revealed the team’s fierce determination to win every game, the players became a microcosm of the two towns, teaching them how to come together as one communty. As the ten boys and their coaches embarked on an unforgettable journey filled with valuable life lessons, they had no idea they were about to record one of the most unique chapters in Indiana high school basketball.
The Valley Boys shares the story of a high school basketball team who were brought together in 1957 for an unbelievable, unexpected, and historical season.
